NEXCO East was established on October 1st, 2005, and has since managed, constructed, and provided rest areas for expressways in eastern Japan, from the Kanto metropolitan area and the areas north of it, Nagano, and Niigata to Hokkaido, the northernmost island of Japan, while also carrying out other expressway-related business.
